SHIFT

Photographic fragments of the site are transferred onto fabric and installed back into the same grove.
The image returns to the place from which it was taken.

Hung between the trees, the fabric panels follow and interrupt the line of sight. Openings remain between the elements, allowing the landscape to reappear as part of the image.

The viewpoint is fixed, but perception shifts. Movement alters the relation between image and environment. The photographic image does not stabilise the scene. It displaces it.

The work operates between alignment and deviation.
It produces a continuous shift between representation and reality.
